Welcome to Hannah Q Smokehouse

We started under a small tent on Friday nights in the parking lot of our sister restaurant, Jasmines on the Bayou. Our goal and passion were to bring great BBQ to South Louisiana. Before long, we were running out of BBQ, and Hannah Q Smokehouse was born. We pride ourselves in using the best, freshest ingredients, from USDA certified angus beef to locally sourced produce. Come and enjoy good food with good company, and let us welcome you to our BBQ family.

Our Pitmaster

Chef Damon York has been a native of Baton Rouge for more than 25 years with a passion and dedication to BBQ done right. His philosophy: "Great BBQ is always cooked at a low constant temperature over a long period of time and don't forget, a lot of LOVE!" He starts with a simple spice rub to ensure that the meat is the star of the dish. The next step is using the right amount of wood to infuse the perfect amount of smoke into the meat. Finally, tending the fire and making sure that the temperature stays constant to provide the most even cook. The end result is delicious, tender, and moist BBQ. So we invite you to come and taste the Hannah Q love!
